Day 171: -isms

As in, Oxford-isms. Possibly British-isms. This last week, I was asked to:
  • Bring my diary to a meeting with my maths tutorial advisor.
  • Bring a rubber to orchestra rehearsal.
  • Put my work in my advisor's pigeonhole down at the porter's lodge.
  • Put my crockery on the rack after I'm finished eating.
It's so great. I love it. I wonder how long it'd take for me to pick up on British English.

  1. I still say pigeonhole a lot over here. To me, those aren't mailboxes because they're not closed.
